THE FORGOTTEN FRUIT - a play on hot apple cider, with the fun twist that there is no apple in the cocktail. The nuttiness of Oloroso sherry combined with the spice of rye whiskey and the warm, slightly tropical funk of amburana wood-aged cachaca call to mind the fall apple harvest in a new way.
THE DEVIL'S PLAYTHING - The Bar Moxy take on Mexican hot chocolate. It combines our house hot chocolate syrup—made with Abuelita chocolate, vanilla, mole, and chile—with reposado tequila and cayenne whipped cream. It’s creamy and rich with just the right amount of kick, with the cocoa notes in the reposado tequila coming through to round it all out.
THE BRAND NEW COMPANION - combines the warm caramel and vanilla notes of Evan Williams bourbon with the smokiness of Balcones Brimstone--made in the same Texas town Bar Moxy bartender Liz Hitchcock hails from. China-China brings delicate orange and floral notes, while Benedictine’s flavors of baking spice and ginger evoke the coming holiday season. Like the Townes Van Zandt song this cocktail takes it name from, the Brand New Companion is warm and comforting with just a little bit of edge and attitude.
